Восприятие трехмерных объектов и оценка их удаленности основаны на реконструкции в нейрональных структурах головного мозга пространственной картины окружающего мира из ее двумерных изображений на сетчатках глаз. Изучением механизмов бинокулярного зрения занимались Гален, Декарт, Ньютон, Уитстоун (изобретатель стереоскопа) и многие другие естествоиспытатели. В настоящее время организация бинокулярного зрения интересует не только физиологов и психологов, ведущих фундаментальные исследования, но и математиков, инженеров, конструкторов, создающих устройства для автоматического распознавания изображений трехмерных сцен.

Анатомические, нейрофизиологические и психофизические исследования в значительной мере прояснили структурно-функциональную организацию бинокулярной зрительной системы. У высших млекопитающих, а также у человека информация о зрительных объектах поступает в первичную зрительную кору головного мозга по четырём раздельным путям, исходящим из назальной и темпоральной половин двух сетчаток. Каждый из этих путей обеспечивает во входном слое зрительной коры двумерное топографически упорядоченное отображение (карту) части поля зрения одного глаза [Tusa et al., 1981; Kaas, 1987; Van Essen et a I., 2001]. Создание целостного трехмерного отображения внешнего пространства происходит на основе объединения таких карт.

В исследовании процессов зрительного восприятия психофизическим, психофизиологическим и электрофизиологическим методами достигнуты большие успехи [Hubel, Wiesel, 1962, 1967; Ле-ушина, 1978; Зрительное опознание, 1975; Подвигин, 1979; Супин, 1981; Orban, 1984; Шевелев, 1984; Глезер, 1985, 1995; Дуд-кин, 1985; Подвигин и др., 1986; Невская, Леушина, 1990; Шелепин и др., 1985; Физиология зрения, 1992; Бондарко и др., 1999]. Однако, многие аспекты структурной организации бинокулярной зрительной системы остаются нераскрытыми. Настоящее исследование направлено на решение одной из проблем зрительного восприятия - выяснение структурно-функциональной организации начальных этапов процесса реконструкции трехмерного зрительного пространства.

ВЫВОДЫ

1. Построена ретинотопическая карта представительства в цитоар-хитектонических полях 17, 18 коры головного мозга трехмерного зрительного пространства. Карта позволяет определить местоположение в слое IV коры проекций любых локусов пространства относительно точки фиксации взора и оценить варианты организации внутрикорковых связей, необходимых для формирования непрерывного (целостного) отображения двух половин зрительного пространства и оценки его третьей координаты.

2. Разработаны методы выявления моносинаптических нейронных связей отдельных структурно-функциональных единиц коры -колонок нейронов, реконструкции и оценки их распределения в координатах поля зрения, а также способ определения "исходной" глазодоминантности (преимущественного глазного входа) колонок.

3. Максимальная протяженность моносинаптических горизонтальных связей в полях 17, 18 не зависит от местоположения в проекции поля зрения и составляет для колонок поля 17 - 5,0 ± 0,8 мм, поля 18 - 4,2 ± 0,7 мм, переходной зоны 17/18 - 5,7 ± 0,7 мм. Такая протяженность в зоне проекции центра поля зрения соответствует 5 угл. град, и более 15 угл град, на периферии. При этом, горизонтальные связи клеток слоя IV простираются не далее 0,5 мм.

4. Выявлено сходство в конструкции горизонтальных связей в верхних (II-III) и в нижних (V, VI) слоях полей 17, 18 коры и их упорядоченность в проекции поля зрения. В поле 17 наибольшая протяженность связей наблюдается вдоль проекции горизонтального меридиана поля зрения, в поле 18 - вдоль проекции вертикального меридиана. Распределение связей согласуется с известной анизотропией фактора магнификации в этих полях для разных меридианов поля зрения. Это доказывает, что в поле 17 большее количество нейронов участвует в анализе зрительной информации по горизонтальной оси координат, а в поле 18 - по вертикальной.

5. Показано, что колонка нейронов поля 17 получает входы от однотипных по глазодоминантности и ориентационному предпочтению нейронов, локализованных в б - 8 корковых гиперколонках. Внутренние горизонтальные связи клеток переходной зоны 17/18 и полей 17, 18 обеспечивают объединение двух половин поля зрения глаза.

6. Обнаружено нарушение известного принципа гомотопичности каллозальных проекций. В полях 17 и 18 межполушарные моносинаптические связи соединяют анатомически несимметричные участки коры разных полушарий: переходную зону полей 17/18 и корковое поле (вне переходной зоны). Местоположение межполушарно связанных клеток внутри этих участков может быть согласовано с ретинотопической проекцией зоны назо-темпорального перекрытия на одной сетчатке или с проекций корреспондирующих участков разных сетчаток. Эти данные также свидетельствуют о наличии в переходной зоне 17/18 двух представительств одной и той же части поля зрения.

7. Установлено, что колонки каллозальной зоны полей 17 и 18, имеющие межполушарные связи, получают вход преимущественно из ипсилатерального глаза, а колонки, не имеющие межполушарных связей, - из контралатерального глаза. Эти данные являются доказательством глазоспецифичности межполушарных связей. Таким образом, у кошки межполушарные моносинаптические связи раздельно для каждого из глаз соединяют проекции левой и правой половин поля зрения, которые обусловлены входами из асимметрично расположенных на сетчатках зон назо-темпорального перекрытия.

8. Моносинаптические диспаратные входы нейронов колонок обнаружены на следующем уровне нейронной сети - в полях 19 и 21а, а не в полях 17 и 18. Входные клетки таких колонок локализованы в переходной зоне полей 17/18 и в полях 17, 18 ипсилатерального полушария. Анализ местоположения входных клеток, проведенный с учетом карты представительства пространства, показал, что выявленные диспаратные связи обеспечивают выделение локусов или стереоповерхностей в центральных секторах зрительного пространства.

9. В первичных зрительных полях 17 и 18 коры кошки на основе разных типов моносинаптических нейронных связей реализуются следующие начальные этапы реконструкции зрительного пространства:

1) объединение проекций зон назо-темпорального перекрытия на сетчатках глаз осуществляют глазоспецифичные межпо-лушарные связи;

2) объединение полуполей зрения глаза обеспечивают внутриполушарные связи между переходной зоной 17/18 и полями 17, 18;

3) выделение локусов и стереоскопических поверхностей в зрительном пространстве обеспечивают эфферентные связи полей 17, 18 с полями 19 и 21а.

ЗАКЛЮЧЕНИЕ

Данная работа посвящена проблеме организации отображения зрительного пространства в коре головного мозга. Восприятие пространства и пространственных отношений в окружающем мире обеспечивается совместной работой зрительной и глазодвигательной систем с использованием информации, поступающей из других сенсорных систем, а также из памяти. В процессе формирования целостного трехмерного отображения пространства можно выделить структурно-функциональный корковый уровень, на котором отображение определяется только ретиното-пическими проекциями полей зрения глаз, то есть, оно строится относительно точки фиксации взора. Такое отображение формируется в первичной зрительной коре на основе внутрикорковых связей нейронов. Структура этих связей зависит от анатомической организации зрительной системы и проводящих путей в кору, следовательно, детерминирована генетически. Однако, она может быть изменена под влиянием раннего зрительного опыта в критический период развития мозга. На базе этого первичного отображения, фактически отражающего морфо-функциональную конструкцию бинокулярной зрительной системы, строится отображение пространства более высокого уровня, которое позволяет определять положение объектов внешнего мира относительно наблюдателя и взаимное расположение объектов между собой.

В диссертационной работе предложен принцип построения трехмерного пространства на основании двумерных ретинотопиче-ских представительств полей зрения глаз в первичной зрительной коре. На базе существующих морфо-физиологических данных создана карта представительства пространства во входном слое IV коры, которая позволила оценить варианты организации внутрикорковых связей, необходимых для целостного трехмерного отображения пространства. 1

Целенаправленный поиск таких вариантов нейрональных связей проведен в полях 17 и 18 зрительной коры кошки, которые представляют нижний уровень в иерархии полей. Экспериментально исследованы моносинаптические (прямые) связи внутри этих полей, межполушарные связи, а также межзональные связи с полями 19 и 21а. Правомерность проведения исследования связей на уровне отдельных структурно-функциональных единиц коры (колонок) обусловлена имеющимися сведениями [Hubel, Wiesel, 1962, 1965] о функциональных свойствах нейронов таких колонок, связанных с восприятием глубины (глазодоминантность, избирательность к диспаратности стимулов).

Получены новые данные, свидетельствующие о согласованности пространственной организации горизонтальных внутренних связей в верхних и нижних слоях полей 17, 18 с проекцией поля зрения. Ортогональность пространственного распределения внутренних связей полей 17 и 18, а также реципрокных связей между ними, позволила предположить возможность обмена информацией между этими полями при анализе изображений по горизонтали и вертикали. Доказана возможность объединения проекций левого и правого полуполей зрения глаза на основании выявленной большой протяженности горизонтальных связей, соединяющих клетки глазодоминантных колонок полей 17, 18 с клетками переходной зоны 17/18.

Основополагающим принципом конструкции межполушарных связей в зрительной коре считалось "правило вертикального меридиана", т.е. межполушарная связь между симметричными участками коры двух полушарий, где представлена проекция центрального вертикального меридиана поля зрения [Hubel, Wiesel, 1962, 1967;

Berlucchi, Rizzolatti, 1968; Leicester, 1968; Wilson, 1968; Shatz, 1977; Blakemore et al., 1983; Innocenti, 1986]. Нарушение этого принципа гомотопичности каллозальных проекций было впервые показано в зрительной коре крыс [Lewis, Olavarria, 1995] и кошек [Olavarria, 1996] при микровведениях маркера нейронных связей. Эти результаты были подтверждены в диссертационной работе при исследовании межполушарных связей корковых колонок нейронов. Такое межполушарное объединение участков корковых полей 17, 18 с участками переходной зоны 17/18 возможно на основе связей между клетками, получающими входы из одного и того же глаза или из разных глаз. Определение преимущественного глазного входа корковых колонок позволило нам установить глазоспеци-фичность межполушарных связей. Таким образом доказано, что локализация межполушарно связанных клеток согласована с рети-нотопической проекцией зоны назо-темпорального перекрытия на сетчатке одного глаза. Такая конструкция межполушарных связей была предсказана на основании анализа построенной нами карты представительства зрительного пространства в коре. Полученные в работе данные доказывают, что межполушарные связи ретиното-пически упорядоченно "сшивают" проекции части левого полуполя зрения, представленные в обоих полушариях входами из правого глаза, и отдельно "сшивают" проекции части правого полуполя зрения, представленные в обоих полушариях входами из левого глаза. Следовательно, выявленные в работе межполушарные моносинаптические связи не обеспечивают соединения левой и правой половин поля зрения глаза. Эта функция реализуется на основе внутриполушарных связей.

Одной из задач диссертационной работы являлся поиск ней-рональных связей, определяющих у нейронов избирательность к диспаратности стимулов, которая выявлена в многочисленных нейрофизиологических исследованиях зрительной коры (например [Poggio# Fischer, 1977; Fischer, Kruger, 1979; Guillemot et al., 1993]).i На основании того, что диспаратных входов у колонок полей 17 и 18 не было обнаружено при исследовании моносинаптических связей протяженностью более 0,5 мм, предполагается, что именно в пределах этого расстояния расположены тела интернейронов, на которые переключаются входы из разных глаз при конвергенции на бинокулярную клетку. Прямая конвергенция клеток, представляющих диспаратные участки сетчаток, была обнаружена на следующем уровне - в колонках нейронов полей 19 и 21а. Показано, что выявленная организация прямых диспаратных входов колонок может обеспечить выделение локусов и стереоповерхностей только в центральных секторах зрительного пространства, по обе стороны от окружности Вьет-Мюллера. Нейронные связи, обусловливающие этот этап реконструкции зрительного пространства, ранее не были известны.

Таким образом, целостное трехмерное отображение зрительного пространства обеспечивается в зрительной коре разными типами моносинаптических нейронных связей. Межполушарные связи полей 17, 18 раздельно для каждого из глаз соединяют проекции одной и той же половины поля зрения. Внутренние связи этих полей обеспечивают объединение двух половин поля зрения. Эфферентные связи полей 17, 18 с полями 19 и 21а обеспечивают выделение локусов пространства и стереоскопических поверхностей.
