Введение.

Амфифильные сополимеры представляют значительный научный интерес благодаря своей способности к самоорганизации в водной среде с образованием мицелл и нано-структур. Данные объекты могут быть использованы в различных технологиях, начиная с агрохимии и пищевой промышленности и заканчивая медициной и наноэлектроникой.

Амфифильные блок-сополимеры в водной среде образуют сферические мицеллы, состоящие из гидрофобного ядра и гидрофильной короны. Обычно, такие структуры обладают высокой стабильностью и не могут быть легко разрушены. Это обусловлено высокой прочностью ядра мицелл, в котором гидрофобные звенья находятся в стеклообразном состоянии и их подвижность сильно ограничена. Реакция таких мицелл при внешнем воздействии ограничена лишь изменением размеров короны. Однако важнейшим свойством мицелл, необходимым для их практического применения, и прежде всего в новых отраслях нанотехнологии, является обратимость мицеллообразования: мицеллы должны быть устойчивы в определенных условиях и легко разрушаться при небольшом изменении внешних условий (например, температуры, рН или ионной силы раствора). Поэтому задача получения амфифильных сополимеров иного строения, способных формировать динамические ("живые") мицеллы весьма важна и актуальна.

Наиболее ярким примером амфифильных сополимеров образующих различные агрегаты в водной среде, служит блок-сополимер полистирол -полиакриловая кислота (ПС-б-ПАК). Известно, что такие сополимеры не способны к формированию динамических мицелл. Попытка создать такие объекты на основе градиентных или блок-статистических сополимеров также оказалась неудачной. Можно было ожидать, что получить динамические мицеллы удастся с помощью сополимеров стирола с акриловой кислотой, которые, с одной стороны, имеют блочное строение, а с другой, - содержат гидрофильные звенья в ядре мицеллы.

Решить такую задачу можно методами псевдоживой радикальной полимеризации в присутствии нитроксилов. Она позволяет контролировать строение получаемого сополимера и его молекулярно-массовые характеристики. Суть этого метода заключается в добавлении в полимеризационную смесь стабильных радикалов - нитроксилов; при этом происходит их обратимое

взаимодействие с радикалами роста, что обеспечивает ступенчатый рост полимерных цепей в ходе всего процесса.

Для того чтобы осуществить контролируемый синтез амфифильных сополимеров необходимо обладать набором количественных характеристик, описывающих этот процесс и позволяющих подобрать оптимальные условия синтеза. Особенно важно это знать применительно к мономерной паре стирол -акриловая кислота, поскольку сочетание гидрофобных свойств стирола и гидрофильных свойств акриловой кислоты сильно влияет на процесс сополимеризации.

Поэтому в настоящей работе мы впервые поставили перед собой цель получить новый тип сополимеров - амфифильных блок-градиентных - методом контролируемой радикальной сополимеризации стирола и акриловой кислоты в присутствии нитроксила SG1, изучить самоорганизацию синтезированных сополимеров различного строения в водной среде и установить влияние рН и ионной силы раствора на этот процесс.

выводы

1. Установлено, что сополимеризация стирола и акриловой кислоты, инициированная макроалкоксиамином ПАК-SGl в присутствии нитроксила SG1, протекает по псевдоживому механизму обратимого ингибирования. Об этом свидетельствуют линейный рост молекулярной массы сополимера с конверсией и значения констант реинициирования

SG1 )=(0.12±0.01 )х 10~4с~1) и обратимого обрыва на нитроксилах (£х(СТ)=(5±1)х105 л/моль с).

2. Обнаружен ярко выраженный эффект избирательной сорбции акриловой кислоты на макроинициаторе ПАК-SGl, благодаря которому активность акриловой кислоты в сополимеризации со стиролом становится выше активности стирола (константы сополимеризации: гАк=0.88, гст=0.22).

3. Впервые прямым методом контролируемой радикальной полимеризации в присутствии нитроксила SG1 синтезированы и охарактеризованы амфифильные ди- и триблок-градиентные сополимеры стирола и акриловой кислоты с разной длиной блоков.

4. Установлено, что в отличие от обычных блок-сополимеров стирола и акриловой кислоты ди- и триблок-градиентные сополимеры образуют динамические рН-чувствительные мицеллы в водном растворе, агрегационное число которых изменяется обратимо при изменении рН в пределах от 4 до 7,5 и ионной силы раствора - от 0 до 1М.

5. Методом реологического исследования обнаружено, что в полуразбавленном водном растворе (10 вес.%) триблок-градиентных сополимеров в интервале рН от 4 до 7,5 происходит обратимый переход золь-гель, сопровождающийся увеличением наибольшей ньютоновской вязкости на 4 порядка, что имеет важное практическое значение для эффективной модификации вязкости водных растворов.
